Terms of Use
Last updated October 12, 2026
Welcome to Hinduism One. By using the-hinduism.com or hinduism.one (the “Site”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. What the Site is
Hinduism One offers educational and devotional content: explanations of Hindu practices, verses from the Bhagavad Gita with our own translations and reflections, and retellings of traditional stories for children. It is offered for general education and personal inspiration only. Please also read our Disclaimer.
2. Sharing is welcome
We want this content to travel! You are welcome to:
- Share links to any page, anywhere.
- Share our share images and short versions (the WhatsApp text, captions and images from the “Share this” box) on personal social media, messaging apps and family groups, unaltered and with credit to Hinduism One or a link back to the Site.
- Read our stories aloud to children at home, in classrooms, Bal Vihar classes, temples and community events.
- Print a page for personal, family or non-commercial classroom use.
3. What needs permission
Our explanations, translations, reflections, retellings, images and site design are our original work and are protected by copyright. Without written permission, please do not:
- Republish full articles, stories or verse pages on another website, app, book or video.
- Use our content commercially, including in paid courses, products or monetised channels.
- Remove our name or links from share images.
- Use our content to train AI models, or scrape the Site with automated tools beyond normal search-engine indexing.
To ask for permission, email [email protected]. We’re often happy to say yes.
The original ancient texts themselves (the Gita, Upanishads, Vedas, epics, Panchatantra and so on) are in the public domain and belong to everyone. These terms cover our versions of them.
4. Your conduct
Please don’t misuse the Site: no attempts to hack, overload or disrupt it, no impersonating Hinduism One, and no sending us unlawful or abusive material.
5. Links to other sites
We sometimes link to books, creators, videos or resources we think are valuable. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices. Some links may be affiliate links. If so, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and we’ll say so near the link.
6. No warranties
The Site is provided “as is”. We work hard to be accurate and respectful, but we don’t guarantee that every page is complete, error-free or always available.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hinduism One is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Site means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Canada.
